Looking for an ongoing evaluation partner for your organisation?

Sam had the persistence and patience to work with us from where we were at.

She was able to keep us on track and move with us where we needed to move. It is a real skill-set to be able to adapt to our organisation in this way. It worked really well.

She slowed things down when we needed and kept us accountable so we could continue progressing.

Our team loved the visual frameworks, and the pictorial toolkits made evaluation far more accessible for both employees and program participants.

OUR APPROACH

Pictures. Stories. Play

The tools are playful. The expertise behind them is serious.

Visual Insights packages are grounded in rigorous research and evaluation practice, and informed by a rich body of theory about how people, teams and organisations learn, change and improve.

We've ditched the jargon and the dry slidedecks. Instead, every package uses pictures, stories and play to make complex ideas stick — and to make the learning something your team actually wants to show up for.

Pictures

Visual tools that cut through complexity. Whether it's a framework, a process or a concept, we make it something your team can see, point to and take away.

web_scout-02.png

Stories

Narrative techniques that connect ideas to real practice. Stories make the learning memorable long after the session ends.

Play

Games and hands-on activities that engage even the most reluctant learners — and build a team culture where curiosity and reflection become the norm.

Hear from those we've worked with

It has been a real privilege to work with Sam and the Visual Insights team. We have learned so much.

We have learned so much. When I think back, we were so task-focused that thinking and talking about the big picture (like vision and outcomes) was just so foreign. We were just wanting to talk about what we were doing and our processes.

Sam had the persistence and patience to work with us from where we were at. She was able to keep us on track and move with us where we needed to move. It is a real skill-set to be able to adapt to our organisation in this way. It worked really well.

The shift to an outcomes-focused organisation and full evaluation implementation is a massive thing for our organisation. It is something we feel immensely proud of. We are proud that we did it, that we got through it, and that we got what we wanted out of it.

We are proud that it is an organisational change that will live on beyond ourselves. This culture and skills change is a significant legacy of five years of partnership with Visual Insights People.

Kim_edited.jpg

Sam is an extremely skilled evaluator and educator. She was approachable, adaptable, and responded to our team’s needs throughout our engagement.

She slowed things down when we needed, and also kept us accountable so we could keep progressing. Our team loved the graphics and the visual aspect of Visual Insights frameworks materials. The pictorial toolkits with flashcards and posters made evaluation much more accessible for our employees and program participants. The process felt genuinely collaborative along the way. Sam was open to learning about and incorporating our accessible approaches too, including adapting her presentations and guidance for our self-paced working sessions.
Through our coaching sessions, Sam found a good balance between providing hands-on support and enabling us to take ownership of the deep thinking and artefacts.

As a result, I feel confident that our team and the broader organisation now has the capabilities to apply evaluative thinking and frameworks across other programs in the future.
